Bead Embroidery

With the love of beadwork comes lots of variety for projects, and one which I am currently enjoying working on is Bead Embroidery.  I have completed City and Guilds Level 2 and Level 3 courses in Machine Embroidery and Hand Embroidery with the fab tutor Barbara Inchley, Village Textiles, And have now completed the Diploma course, so it seems a natural progression to extend my beadwork in this direction.

Here are some of the completed projects I have undertaken.

I am experimenting with cabochons and bead embroidery and have used the same seed beads (Myuki size 11s in turquoise and a matte Silver) with 15s in the turquoise

I have several of these cabochons all stuck onto bead backing material and then I shall do them with a different feature each time:

So enjoyable to work with.  The cabs come from Totally Beads - https://www.totallybeads.co.uk/
The gorgeous donut beads (in the middle one) in a lovely shade of silvery/grey come from Bead Spider - https://www.beadspider.co.uk/
