  1. What a fab day - Thanks to Jayne and Andy, Suzanne and Denise and Rob, we went to the Bead Fair at Sandown Park yesterday in their cars.
As we neared the Surrey venue our fingers started to itch, then once the car was parked we were off!!  I made a beeline for two of my own personal favourites The Bead Merchant and Stitchncraft and made a "few"! purchases.  Then met up with Fran, Pam, and Suzanne (hey that rhymes!) and Suzanne's mum for coffee, Denise and Rob joined us for a chat, and then we were off again.  Bought far too much, but I know everything will be used in future projects.  Lunch was in the sunshine overlooking the race track, and then back again circulating those stalls.  Bumped into Christine a couple of times.  It was a really lovely day, with good beads available and it's great to be among like minded people and all the stall holders were smashing in my experience.  Went home deliriously happy and tired and couldn't wait to get my purchases out to examine and inspire me - not going to check the contents of my purse though!
Next time you really must join us for a great day out - watch the website and join us at the Bead 'n' Banter Club for more information and loads of Beady activities and news.
  2. Thought I would just put keyboard to Blog about the Fun/Open Day at The Horsebridge on Saturday 10th April.  Their 6th Birthday was marked with a lot of art, craft and activity people getting together with their wares, selling, demonstrating and generally letting everyone know we exist.  It was a lovely sunny day and the town was really busy and of course so was The Horsebridge.  It was great seeing people coming in and viewing our stalls and asking questions and having a chat.  It was also great to network with like minded people, many of whom already use The Horsebridge to run workshops and classes, and to meet friends old and new.  The Horsebridge is a great venue in Whitstable and ideal for all these activities - so thank you for putting on this day so that we can let the whole of Whitstable and beyond know who we are!
