  1. Hi Beady folk

During this pandemic I have been unable to run my beading workshops and also our Club, Bead'n'Banter has not been running and I so miss the company whilst beading.  How have your been faring?

For me I have been beading like mad!  Thanks to several people:

Lynn Firth from Stitchncraft Beads - https://www.stitchncraft.co.uk/ who ran a wonderful Bead Embroidery Course online (not Zoom) for a full 10 weeks.  I learnt so much and discovered different techniques and beads.  Buying from Stitchncraft is so recommended - big thank you to Lynn.

Katie Dean from Beadflowers and My World of Beads - https://beadflowers.co.uk/beading-courses/  Katie's Interneational Beading Week activities were fab-u-lous.  I did her six pointed star box project and it was a joy.  Katie has several courses on her My World of Beads website and are a must to have a look at.  - big thank you to Katie too.  She is running a super Advent Calendar at the moment, check it out.

Jean Power, bead designer extraordinaire - https://www.jeanpower.com/ - her beadalongs are amazing and I am currently doing her Winter 2020 one, which has written patterns and videos to follow too.  Jean also runs Zoom classes on her website and also via Stitchncraft, watch that space.  Big thank you to Jean.

These beading people in particular and others are keeping me going and if you are stuck for a project please do check them out.

Also another source of inspiration is The Beadworkers' Guild - http://www.beadworkersguild.org.uk/- they have a wide range of ideas, patterns information suitable for everyone from beginners and upwards.  Their quarterly Journal is well worth subscribing to wihich then gives you access to a wealth of beady stuff.  Another big thank you to TheBeadworkers' Guild.
